Wow! I'm impressed. And, you're looking younger. How do you do that? I have your blog in my favorites, so will be checking it periodically. Hope all is well with you.
Hi: Just finished reading your Rhyme & Reason blog and enjoyed it immensely. You certainly have a great gift and we are so lucky that you share it with us.
Hi, Emil, Here's hoping you are feeling 110% by now and raring to go. This "blog" site is very interesting, and a great tribute to you from your daughter. It will be fun to check up on it now and again. Are you officially retired from TH now? Their loss.
Emil--Thanks for the info on the proudpapa blog---It is very interesting---I'm sure somewhere in Heaven Mrs. Austin is feeling very proud of you. Your #1 fan in Arizona--Dick Krogman.
WOW! Great Website. We enjoyed looking through it all. It took a long time because there was so much to see and read. We are very happy for you and your picture shows that you are pleased about this website. .
By all accounts, Emil Schmit is a legend in his own time! Kudos to Emil and the creators of Proud Papa for the facinating articles, great photos and a Proud Papa of a loving family. Does he walk on water, too? :) No Doubt!
Interestingly, the reference to Chinese astrology is sigificant. In Western astrology, Emil is an Aquarian, water. The Eastern equivalent to the year of his birth is not only the water year, but it also gives him the distinction of being born in the year of the Tiger--passionate, creative and brave among many other fine (and not so fine) attributes.
Just an interesting tidbit from a bored internet surfer and frustrated reseacher. Truly enjoyable!
I ran across your blog while browsing for desktop wallpaper of all things! I'm so glad that I did. You're a gifted writer, and I truly enjoyed reading your pieces. I look forward to more!
Anonymous said... I was searching for some farm phrases for our yearly farm shirts. I ran across your website and it helped alot. Thank you for your down to earth words and wisdom.

Hello Emil: Do you live in Grant County? I write a email newsletter for the Grant County Historical Society, and I would like to use your poem "Country Boy" in an issue I am doing on Fannie Barber Knapp of Lancaster who wrote plays and poetry. May I use your poem. The email has only about 350-400 readers. I can send you a copy if you wish. Our email is: historicalsociety@tds.net Thank You. D.A. Wilson
