Our Writer
Emil Schmit is a self-trained poet, free-lance writer, public speaker, and journalist. His weekly column, "Rhyme and Reason," has appeared for a number of years in the Dubuque, Iowa daily newspaper, the Telegraph Herald. Emil has been married to the love of his life, Gloria, since 1959. He credits her love and patience for making it possible for him to pursue his passion after retiring. Emil is the Proud Papa of five children, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Emil and Gloria are widely loved and respected by their children and spouses, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and the surrounding community in a small town in Southwest Wisconsin.
